Planter Boxes & Garden furniture

Your planter boxes are ready to go!

I’ve been getting back into making things out of wood. This Spring-Summer I transformed our terrace into a beautiful garden, and since then I have been making planter boxes and garden furniture from upcycled materials. My long term goal is to inspire the entire alleyway to get a Green Certification from the city. Rome wasn’t built in a day, so watch this space 🙂

Sometimes I have boxes ready made.

There is also the option for custom builds.

Custom builds

Let me know the measurements you need in the form below.

Consider Length the longest side of the box, Width the shorter side of the box, Depth the portion of the box where the soil will go, and Height the height from ground to top – legs included.

All boxes come with wire underneath and are lined with garden mesh. Boxes over a certain length come with wood support underneath. I sand each box back to a nice finish with no hard edges, ready for you to stain, or paint if you wish.

Pick up only in Villeray, Montréal.

Pricing

I base my prices on the amount of material used and estimated time it takes to build.

I work on a sliding scale basis. Sliding scale means that you pay an amount that suits your financial situation. Life is not a level playing field and this means everyone has different opportunities available to them, and therefore we all stand in different financial terrain.

The price displayed is the base rate. If you are in a financial situation that enables you to pay more than that, please do. This is an honour system. There is no judgement in how much you pay, or difference in the work you receive. I take pride in my work and want you to love your box or furniture 🙂

If you have any wood you’re throwing away, please let me know!

Montréalers are so good with up-cycling. There is a culture here of “one person’s trash could be another person’s treasure.” So, I’ve been actively collecting and transforming the neighbourhood wood into new products. If you’d rather see your old wood put to use, I’m happy to help you with that.

Upcycling turns waste into new materials. Taking a product that you would throw away and giving it a new use in life means less waste going into landfill.

Recycling requires a lot of energy to reduce the item before it can be repurposed.

Everybody wins when Reduce is our first consideration in the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle trifecta.

Bikes!

Oh yeah, I’m also a bike mechanic, so if you want help buying a bike, or need some repairs, I’m here!

Your gears don’t need to sound that bad!
