It’s the Leo Full Moon today & it’s no surprise that this image of the mf Sun was beamed to us this past week!
This is the Sun! The life giving ball of fire we roam around every year. The source of our vitality & nutrients, indiscriminately shining upon us, through us, showing us the Leo way . Our Sun is a teeny-tiny 4.6 billion years old, with an approximate 10 billion year life span. NBD.
I do find @nasa & our current “science is top of the hierarchy of knowledge” era we’re living through laughable when they say this is the first time we’ve seen the Sun this close. Is it really? How did people know of binary stars in other galaxies before we had telescopes?
Also, if you’re wearing gold (the metal associated with Leo ) remember it was formed in a supernova ~ when a Sun is expiring in brilliance ~ & that you’re closer to the Sun than you may think.
Full Moons always bring up relationship dynamics so double check to make sure the one/ones you’re looking at see/s you & appreciate/s you for the shining Sun you are. Don’t be dazzled by fakes & those who want to dim your light! You’re worth being the centre of your own Solar System.
We are 100% heading toward a consciousness shift. The energy on the planet is increasing as the amount of people seeking, finding meaning in the mundane, and taping into nature’s wisdom has increased exponentially in the last few years.
CAN YOU FEEL IT?!
Gemini Season can render our energy scattered and directionless. The challenge amidst the capitalistic narrative is to remember that it’s OK; mutable signs are born to wander. Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces all gather facts and intuitive data to pass on to the succeeding Cardinal Signs who initiate the changes.
Destination is not always the goal. Seeking out all the options is wise to inform us of what direction to take next. Looking both ways before crossing the road is smart, just as spinning your own compass once in a while can help orient you toward what is really important, and what’s not.
Let this Gemini New Moon spin your compass. Allow all avenues of possibility to come into focus and keep your options open.
When seeking appears to be the goal it’s important to remember that there is no one to follow. There is only your own innate wisdom that can guide you and the best thing you can do for yourself and everyone else is learn to hear it, trust it and go with it.
Mars loves to run. 🏃🏼♂️
Pisces loves to swim. 🏊🏼♀️
When we combine these two energies, amongst the clusterfuck of everything else going on, we can feel like we’re going nowhere fast.
What running in water does do for us is allow mindfulness of the subtleties. It slows us down enough to hear what can be missed when blindly running toward our goals. It’s a reminder of who we take our orders from: external sources of trends, oppressive authorities or algorithms OR from our own innate knowing & wisdom.
If yr feeling frustrated, like yr lagging behind & cant keep up, stop trying. Find your flow & realign yourself because Mars will leap into Aries on Jan 1, & like a sling shot, we’ll be catapulted forward in the direction we’re facing.
What does your rhythm look like, without external influence?
Our last Astro Tattoo session in Victoria was with our queer elder who turns 73 when the Moon is next new & Uranus enters Taurus. To mark the change she feels coming she got her 1st ever tattoo! ✨
The more we do this project, the more profound I realise it is. To be able to sit with one of our elders, who was born when the world was a different place & look back at transits to her life & changes in the world was an honour.
Her 1st Tattoo is just for her, representing her past, present & future, laid out through the beautiful symbolism of astrology & reflected back in story & now as a beautiful reminder in her body. #blowsmeaway
🎶 Each session we listen to hits of the year you were born, as those songs were born & new in this world when you were. In this case we listened to the hits of 1945.🎶
For a world just emerging from war, the sounds were very relaxing. It was a time when people sat & listened to music, not in passing, but to a whole record, gathered round together. It was a defo change of pace from the 80’s & 90’s playlists that we often play.
We start the Salt Spring leg of our #islandtour today. The energy of the land here is palpable…& the way landscape shapes people & their energy is a welcome change to our city vibes.
